Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21926
It is narrated on the authority of Safinah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a man came to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) as a guest. They prepared food for him. Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "If we invite the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he would also eat with us." So they sent an invitation to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) held the wooden frame of the door, he saw a curtain hanging in a corner of the house. Seeing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went back. Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) said to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), "Go after him and ask the reason for going back." Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) followed him and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Why did you go back?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "It is not appropriate for me or for any prophet to enter such a house which is decorated and embellished."

حضرت سفینہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کے یہاں ایک آدمی مہمان بن کر آیا انہوں نے اس کے لئے کھانا تیار کیا تو حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہنے لگیں کہ اگر ہم نبی کریم ﷺ کو بلا لیتے تو وہ بھی ہمارے ساتھ کھانا کھالیتے، چنانچہ انہوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو بلا بھیجا نبی کریم ﷺ تشریف لے آئے نبی کریم ﷺ نے جب دروازے کے کو اڑوں کو پکڑا تو دیکھا کہ گھر کے ایک کونے میں ایک پردہ لٹک رہا ہے نبی کریم ﷺ اسے دیکھتے ہی واپس چلے گئے حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا کہ آپ ان کے پیچھے جائیے اور واپس جانے کی وجہ پوچھئے حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ پیچھے پیچھے گئے اور کہنے لگے یا رسول اللہ! آپ واپس کیوں آگئے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا میرے لئے یا کسی نبی کے لئے ایسے گھر میں داخل ہونا " جو آراستہ ومنقش ہو " مناسب نہیں ہے۔
Hazrat Safina Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ki aik martaba Hazrat Ali Radi Allaho Anho ke yahan aik admi mehman ban kar aya unhon ne uske liye khana taiyar kiya to Hazrat Fatima Radi Allaho Anha kehnay lagin ki agar hum Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko bula lete to woh bhi humare sath khana kha lete, chunancha unhon ne Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko bula bheja Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam tashrif le aaye Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne jab darwaze ke kuaadon ko pakda to dekha ki ghar ke aik kone mein aik parde latak raha hai Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam usey dekhte hi wapas chale gaye Hazrat Fatima Radi Allaho Anha ne Hazrat Ali Radi Allaho Anho se kaha ki aap unke peeche jaiye aur wapas janey ki wajah poochiye Hazrat Ali Radi Allaho Anho peeche peeche gaye aur kehne lage Ya Rasulullah! aap wapas kyon aa gaye? Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya mere liye ya kisi nabi ke liye aise ghar mein dakhil hona " jo araasta wamanqash ho " munasib nahi hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ , حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُمْهَانَ , حَدَّثَنَا سَفِينَةُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَضَافَهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , فَصَنَعَ لَهُ طَعَامًا , فَقَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ: لَوْ دَعَوْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَذَكَرَ نَحْو حَدِيثِ أَبِي كَامِلٍ , فَدَعَوْهُ فَجَاءَ , فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى عِضَادَتَيْ الْبَابِ , فَرَأَى قِرَامًا فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْبَيْتِ , فَرَجَعَ , فَقَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ لِعَلِيٍّ: الْحَقْهُ , فَقُلْ لَهُ: لِمَ رَجَعْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي أَنْ أَدْخُلَ بَيْتًا مُزَوَّقًا" .
