Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22070
It is narrated on the authority of Muadh (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the Battle of Tabuk, the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) set out with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He would lead the combined prayers of Zuhr and Asr, and Maghrib and Isha, and then we would return. Similarly, he would lead the combined prayers of Maghrib and Isha. One day, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "If Allah wills, tomorrow you will reach the spring of Tabuk, and when you arrive there, the day will be bright. Whoever reaches the spring first should not touch its water until I arrive." So when we arrived there, two men had already reached before us. A little water, like a thin stream, was flowing into the spring. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked the two, "Have you both touched this water?" They replied, "Yes, we have." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) rebuked them severely and said what Allah willed. Then, the people made cups with their hands and drew out a little water at a time, until they had collected enough in a vessel for the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to wash his face and blessed hands. Then, he poured that water back into the spring. And lo and behold, the spring filled up with water right before our eyes, and everyone quenched their thirst. Then, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me, "O Muadh! It may be that you live long and see this place filled with gardens."

حضرت معاذ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ غزوہ تبوک کے موقع پر صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم نبی کریم ﷺ کے ہمراہ روانہ ہوئے تو نبی کریم ﷺ ظہر اور عصر، مغرب اور عشاء اکٹھی پڑھا دیتے تھے اور واپس پہنچ جاتے پھر اسی طرح مغرب اور عشاء کی نماز بھی پڑھا دیتے ایک دن نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ان شاء اللہ کل تم چشمہ تبوک پر پہنچ جاؤ گے اور جس وقت تم وہاں پہنچو گے تو دن نکلا ہوا ہوگا جو شخص اس چشمے پر پہنچے وہ میرے آنے تک اس کے پانی کو ہاتھ نہ لگائے۔ چنانچہ جب ہم وہاں پہنچے تو دو آدمی ہم سے پہلے ہی وہاں پہنچ چکے تھے اس چشمے میں تسمے کی مانند تھوڑا سا پانی رس رہا تھا نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان دونوں سے پوچھا کیا تم دونوں نے اس پانی کو چھوا ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا جی ہاں! نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں سخت سست کہا اور جو اللہ کو منظور ہوا، وہ کہا پھر لوگوں نے ہاتھوں کے چلو بنا کر تھوڑا تھوڑا کر کے اس میں سے اتنا پانی نکالا کہ وہ ایک برتن میں اکٹھا ہوگیا جس سے نبی کریم ﷺ نے اپناچہرہ اور مبارک ہاتھ دھوئے، پھر وہ پانی اسی چشمے میں ڈال دیا دیکھتے ہی دیکھتے چشمے میں پانی بھر گیا اور سب لوگ اس سے سیراب ہوگئے پھر نبی کریم ﷺ نے مجھ سے فرمایا اے معاذ! ہوسکتا ہے کہ تمہاری زندگی لمبی ہو اور تم اس جگہ کو باغات سے بھرا ہوا دیکھو۔
Hazrat Muaz (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Ghazwa Tabuk ke mauqa par Sahaba Kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hamrah rawana huye to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Zuhar aur Asr, Maghrib aur Isha ikathi parha dete thay aur wapas pahonch jate phir isi tarah Maghrib aur Isha ki namaz bhi parha dete. Ek din Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya, "Insha Allah kal tum chashma Tabuk par pahonch jaoge aur jis waqt tum wahan pahonchoge to din nikla hua hoga. Jo shakhs is chashme par pahonche woh mere aane tak iske pani ko hath na lagaye." Chunanche jab hum wahan pahonche to do aadmi humse pehle hi wahan pahonch chuke thay. Is chashme mein tasme ki manind thoda sa pani ras raha tha. Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un donon se pucha, "kia tum donon ne is pani ko chuha hai?". Unhon ne kaha, "Ji haan!". Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen sakht sust kaha aur jo Allah ko manzur hua, woh kaha. Phir logon ne hathon ke challo bana kar thoda thoda kar ke is mein se itna pani nikala ki woh ek bartan mein ikattha hogaya jisse Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apna chehra aur mubarak hath dhoye, phir woh pani usi chashme mein daal diya. Dekhte hi dekhte chashme mein pani bhar gaya aur sab log us se sirab hogaye. Phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujhse farmaya, "Aye Muaz! Ho sakta hai ki tumhari zindagi lambi ho aur tum is jagah ko baghon se bhara hua dekho."
قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ , حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ , عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيِّ , عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَامِرِ بْنِ وَاثِلَةَ , أَنَّ مُعَاذًا أَخْبَرَهُ , أَنَّهُمْ خَرَجُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ تَبُوكَ , فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ , وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ , قَالَ وَأَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ , ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ جَمِيعًا , , ثُمَّ دَخَلَ , ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ جَمِيعًا , ثُمَّ قَالَ: " إِنَّكُمْ سَتَأْتُونَ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ عَيْنَ تَبُوكَ , وَإِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَأْتُوا بِهَا حَتَّى يَضْحَى النَّهَارُ , فَمَنْ جَاءَ فَلَا يَمَسَّ مِنْ مَائِهَا شَيْئًا حَتَّى آتِيَ" , فَجِئْنَا وَقَدْ سَبَقَنَا إِلَيْهَا رَجُلَانِ , وَالْعَيْنُ مِثْلُ الشِّرَاكِ تَبِضُّ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ , فَسَأَلَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" هَلْ مَسِسْتُمَا مِنْ مَائِهَا شَيْئًا؟" , فَقَالَا: نَعَمْ , فَسَبَّهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَقَالَ لَهُمَا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ , ثُمَّ غَرَفُوا بِأَيْدِيهِمْ مِنَ الْعَيْنِ قَلِيلًا قَلِيلًا , حَتَّى اجْتَمَعَ فِي شَيْءٍ , ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيهِ وَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ أَعَادَهُ فِيهَا , فَجَرَتْ الْعَيْنُ بِمَاءٍ كَثِيرٍ , فَاسْتَقَى النَّاسُ , ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" يُوشِكُ يَا مُعَاذُ إِنْ طَالَتْ بِكَ حَيَاةٌ أَنْ تَرَى مَاءً هَاهُنَا قَدْ ملئَ جِنَانًا" ..
