Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22623
Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) had lent money to a man. When he would go to ask for it back, the man would hide. One day, he went to the man's house and a child came out. Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) inquired about the man, and the child said that he was inside eating. Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) called out to the man by name, saying that he knew he was inside. The man came out, and Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him why he kept hiding. The man said that he was poor and had nothing. Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him to swear by Allah that he had nothing. The man swore that he truly had nothing. Upon hearing this, Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) started crying and said that he had heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say that whoever gives respite to a borrower who is experiencing hardship or forgives the debt will be in the shade of the Throne of Allah on the Day of Judgement.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کا ایک آدمی پر قرض تھا وہ اس سے تقاضا کرنے کے لئے جاتے تو وہ چھپ جاتا ایک دن وہ اس کے گھر پہنچے تو ایک بچہ وہاں سے نکلا انہوں نے اس بچے سے اس کے متعلق پوچھا تو اس نے بتایا کہ ہاں! وہ گھر میں ہیں اور کھانا کھا رہے ہیں حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس کا نام لے کر اسے آواز دی کہ باہر آؤ، مجھے پتہ چل گیا ہے کہ تم اندر ہی ہو وہ باہر آیا تو انہوں نے اس سے پوچھا کہ تم مجھ سے کیوں چھپتے پھر رہے ہو؟ اس نے کہا کہ میں تنگدست ہوں اور میرے پاس کچھ نہیں ہے انہوں نے فرمایا اللہ کی قسم کھا کر کہو کہ تمہارے پاس کچھ نہیں ہے؟ اس نے کہا کہ واقعی ایسا ہی ہے اس پر حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ رو پڑے اور فرمایا کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ جو شخص اپنے مقروض کو مہلت دے دے یا اس کا قرض معاف کر دے تو وہ قیامت کے دن عرش الہٰی کے سائے میں ہوگا۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Razi Allah Anhu ka aik aadmi par qarz tha woh us se taqaza karne ke liye jate to woh chhup jata aik din woh us ke ghar pahunche to aik bachcha wahan se nikla unhon ne us bachche se us ke mutalliq poocha to us ne bataya ke haan! woh ghar mein hain aur khana kha rahe hain Hazrat Abu Qatada Razi Allah Anhu ne us ka naam le kar use aawaz di ke bahar aao, mujhe pata chal gaya hai ke tum andar hi ho woh bahar aaya to unhon ne us se poocha ke tum mujh se kyon chhupte phir rahe ho? us ne kaha ke main tangdast hun aur mere pass kuch nahi hai unhon ne farmaya Allah ki qasam kha kar kaho ke tumhare pass kuch nahi hai? us ne kaha ke waqai aisa hi hai is par Hazrat Abu Qatada Razi Allah Anhu ro pade aur farmaya ke main ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ke jo shakhs apne maqrooz ko mohlat de de ya us ka qarz maaf kar de to woh qayamat ke din arsh elahi ke saye mein hoga.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْخَطْمِيُّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيِّ , أَنَّ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ كَانَ لَهُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ دَيْنٌ وَكَانَ يَأْتِيهِ يَتَقَاضَاهُ، فَيَخْتَبِئُ مِنْهُ، فَجَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَخَرَجَ صَبِيٌّ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْهُ، فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ هُوَ فِي الْبَيْتِ، يَأْكُلُ خَزِيرَةً، فَنَادَاهُ يَا فُلَانُ اخْرُجْ فَقَدْ أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّكَ هَاهُنَا، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: مَا يُغَيِّبُكَ عَنِّي؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي مُعْسِرٌ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِي , قَالَ: آللَّهِ إِنَّكَ مُعْسِرٌ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَبَكَى أَبُو قَتَادَةَ ، ثُمّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ " مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ غَرِيمِهِ، أَوْ مَحَا عَنْهُ، كَانَ فِي ظِلِّ الْعَرْشِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ" .
