Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22635
Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Good dreams are from Allah, and bad dreams are from Satan. So whoever sees a dream that he dislikes, let him not tell anyone about it, but let him spit dryly to his left three times and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, for it will not harm him then."

حضرت ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا اچھے خواب اللہ کی طرف سے ہوتے ہیں اور برے خواب شیطان کی طرف سے ہوتے ہیں اس لئے جو شخص کوئی ناپسندیدہ خواب دیکھے تو کسی کے سامنے اسے بیان نہ کرے بلکہ خواب دیکھ کر اپنی بائیں جانب تین مرتبہ تھتکار دے اور اس کے شر سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگے، اس طرح وہ خواب اسے کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکے گا۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya achhe khwab Allah ki taraf se hote hain aur bure khwab shaitan ki taraf se hote hain is liye jo shakhs koi napasandida khwab dekhe to kisi ke samne use bayan na kare balke khwab dekh kar apni bayen janib teen martaba thuk de aur uske shar se Allah ki panaah mange, is tarah woh khwab use koi nuqsan nahin pahuncha sake ga.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " مَنْ رَأَى رُؤْيَا تُعْجِبُهُ فَلْيُحَدِّثْ بِهَا، فَإِنَّهَا بُشْرَى مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَمَنْ رَأَى رُؤْيَا يَكْرَهُهَا فَلَا يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا، وَلْيَتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَيَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّهَا" .
