Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22751
It is narrated on the authority of Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There will be thirty Abdaal (substitutes) in this Ummah (nation) like Ibrahim (Abraham) Khalilullah (friend of Allah) (peace be upon him). Whenever one of them passes away, Allah Almighty will appoint another in his place."

حضرت عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اس امت میں حضرت ابراہیم خلیل اللہ علیہ السلام کی طرح تیس ابدال ہوں گے جب بھی ان میں سے کوئی ایک فوت ہوگا تو اس کی جگہ اللہ تعالیٰ کسی دوسرے کو مقرر فرما دیں گے۔
Hazrat Ubadah raziallahu anhu se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya is ummat mein Hazrat Ibrahim Khalilullah alaihissalam ki tarah tees abdal honge jab bhi in mein se koi ek faut hoga to uski jaga Allah taala kisi dusre ko muqarrar farma denge.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " الْأَبْدَالُ فِي هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ ثَلَاثُونَ مِثْلُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، كُلَّمَا مَاتَ رَجُلٌ أَبْدَلَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى مَكَانَهُ رَجُلًا" , قَالَ أَبِي رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ فِيهِ: يَعْنِي حَدِيثَ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ كَلَامٌ غَيْرُ هَذَا، وَهُوَ مُنْكَرٌ , يَعْنِي: حَدِيثَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ ذَكْوَان.
