Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22899
When the time of departure of Abu Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) from this world approached, he said, "O you listeners of Ash'ar tribe! Those of you who are present should convey this message to those who are absent: I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that the sweetness of this world is the bitterness of the Hereafter, and the bitterness of this world is the sweetness of the Hereafter.”

حضرت ابو مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کی دنیا سے رخصتی کا وقت قریب آیا تو انہوں نے فرمایا اے سننے والے اشعریو! تم میں سے جو لوگ حاضر ہیں وہ غائبین تک یہ پیغام پہنچا دیں میں نے نبی کریم، ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ دنیا کی مٹھاس آخرت کی تلخی ہے اور دنیا کی تلخی آخرت کی مٹھاس ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Malik Radi Allaho Anho Ki Duniya Se Rukhsati Ka Waqt Qareeb Aaya To Unhon Ne Farmaya Aye Sunne Wale Asharyo! Tum Mein Se Jo Log Hazir Hain Wo Ghaiban Tak Ye Paigham Phoncha Den Maine Nabi Kareem, Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam Ko Ye Farma Te Huwe Suna Hai Ke Duniya Ki Mithas Akhirat Ki Talkhi Hai Aur Duniya Ki Talkhi Akhirat Ki Mithas Hai.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ ، أَنَّ أَبَا مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيَّ لَمَّا حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ، قَالَ: يَا سَامِعَ الْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ لِيُبَلِّغْ الشَّاهِدُ مِنْكُمْ الْغَائِبَ، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: " حُلْوَةُ الدُّنْيَا مُرَّةُ الْآخِرَةِ، وَمُرَّةُ الدُّنْيَا حُلْوَةُ الْآخِرَةِ" .
