Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23389
Thalbah ibn Zahdam said: Once, we were with Sa'eed ibn 'Aas, may Allah be pleased with him, in Tabaristan. He asked the people, "Who among you has prayed Salat al-Khawf (prayer of fear) with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him?" Hudhayfah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "I have." And he described it thus: The people formed two rows behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. One row stood facing the enemy, while the other row stood behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, for prayer. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, led them in one rak'ah (unit of prayer). Then, those who were behind him went to face the enemy, and those who had been facing the enemy came back and stood behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, led them in the second rak'ah and finished the prayer with the Salam (salutation of peace).

ثعلبہ بن زہدم کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ طبرستان میں حضرت سعید بن عاص رضی اللہ عنہ کے ہمراہ تھے انہوں نے لوگوں سے پوچھا کہ تم میں سے نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ صلوۃ الخوف کس نے پڑھی ہے؟ حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا میں نے اور وہ اس طرح کہ لوگوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیچھے دو صفیں بنالیں ایک صف دشمن کے سامنے کھڑی رہی اور ایک صف نبی کریم ﷺ کی اقتداء میں نماز کے لئے کھڑی ہوگئی نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان لوگوں کو ایک رکعت پڑھائی پھر یہ لوگ دشمن کے سامنے ڈٹے ہوئے لوگوں کی جگہ الٹے پاؤں چلے گئے اور وہ لوگ ان کی جگہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیچھے آکر کھڑے ہوگئے اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں دوسری رکعت پڑھائی اور سلام پھیر دیا۔
Saleeba bin Zahdam kehte hain ki ek martaba hum log Tabaristan mein Hazrat Saeed bin Aas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke hamrah the unhon ne logon se poocha ki tum mein se Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Salat al-Khawf kis ne padhi hai Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya main ne aur wo is tarah ke logon ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche do safein bana lein ek saf dushman ke samne khadi rahi aur ek saf Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki iqteda mein namaz ke liye khadi ho gayi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un logon ko ek rakat parhayi phir ye log dushman ke samne date hue logon ki jagah ulte paon chale gaye aur wo log un ki jagah Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche aakar khade ho gaye aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen doosri rakat parhayi aur salam phir diya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بنِ هِلَالٍ ، عَنْ ثَعْلَبةَ بنِ زَهْدَمٍ الْيَرْبوعِيِّ ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ سَعِيدِ بنِ الْعَاصِ بطَبرِسْتَانَ، فَقَالَ: أَيُّكُمْ يَحْفَظُ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ : " أَمَّنَا، فَقُمْنَا صَفًّا خَلْفَهُ، وَصَفًّا مُوَازِيَ الْعَدُوِّ، فَصَلَّى بالَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ ذَهَبوا إِلَى مَصَافِّ أُولَئِكَ، وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ فَصَلَّى بهِمْ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ" .
