The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2354
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man presented ghee, cow dung, and cheese to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as a gift. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ate some of the ghee and cheese but left the cow dung due to its undesirability and said, "This is something I have never eaten, so whoever wants to eat it, can eat it." So, others ate it from the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) tablecloth.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ کسی شخص نے نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں گھی، گوہ اور پنیر بطور ہدیہ کے پیش کیا، نبی ﷺ نے گھی اور پنیر میں سے تو کچھ تناول فرما لیا، لیکن نا پسندیدگی کی بنا پر گوہ کو چھوڑ دیا اور فرمایا: ”یہ ایسی چیز ہے جسے میں نے کبھی نہیں کھایا، البتہ جو کھانا چاہتا ہے وہ کھا لے“، چنانچہ اسے نبی ﷺ کے دستر خوان پر دوسروں نے کھا لیا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki kisi shakhs ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein ghee, goh aur paneer ba hawale hadiya ke pesh kiya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ghee aur paneer mein se to kuchh tanavul farma liya, lakin napasandeedgi ki bina par goh ko chhod diya aur farmaya: "Yeh aisi cheez hai jise maine kabhi nahin khaya, albatta jo khana chahta hai wo kha le", chunanche ise Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke dastarkhwan par doosron ne kha liya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي وَاقِدٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخَيَّاطُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وسلم سَمْنٌ، وَأَقِطٌ، وَضَبٌّ، فَأَكَلَ السَّمْنَ وَالْأَقِطَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلضَّبِّ:" إِنَّ هَذَا الشَّيْءَ مَا أَكَلْتُهُ قَطُّ، فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَهُ فَلْيَأْكُلْه" , قَالَ: فَأَكَلَ عَلَى خِوَانِهِ.
