Hadith of Salman al-Farsi, may Allah be pleased with him.

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23732
It is narrated by Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) that I had read in the Torah that the blessing of food is in washing hands before it. I mentioned this to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and referred to what I had read in the Torah, so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that the blessing of food is in washing hands before it and also after it.

حضرت سلمان فارسی رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے تورات میں پڑھا تھا کہ کھانے کی برکت اس سے پہلے ہاتھ دھونا ہے میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے یہ بات ذکر کی اور تورات میں پڑھی ہوئی بات کا حوالہ دیا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ کھانے کی برکت اس سے پہلے ہاتھ دھونا بھی ہے اور اس کے بعد ہاتھ دھونا بھی ہے۔
Hazrat Salman Farsi Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki maine Touraat mein parha tha ki khanay ki barkat us se pehle haath dhona hai maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se yeh baat zikar ki aur Touraat mein parha hui baat ka hawala diya to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki khanay ki barkat us se pehle haath dhona bhi hai aur us ke baad haath dhona bhi hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هَاشِمٍ ، عَنْ زَاذَانَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ: بَرَكَةُ الطَّعَامِ الْوُضُوءُ بَعْدَهُ، قَالَ: فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِمَا قَرَأْتُ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ، فَقَالَ: " بَرَكَةُ الطَّعَامِ الْوُضُوءُ قَبْلَهُ وَالْوُضُوءُ بَعْدَهُ" .
