Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24060
It is narrated by Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was suffering from his fatal illness, he would repeatedly cover his bright face with a sheet. When he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) felt suffocated, we would remove the sheet from his (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) face. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “May Allah's curse be upon the Jews and Christians, they made the graves of their prophets into places of worship.” Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that in fact the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) by his action was warning the people so that they would not indulge in it.

حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ اور حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ جب نبی ﷺ مرض الوفات میں مبتلا ہوئے تو بار بار اپنے رخ انور پر چادر ڈال لیتے تھے، جب آپ ﷺ کو گھبراہٹ ہوتی تو ہم وہ چادر آپ ﷺ کے چہرے سے ہٹا دیتے تھے، نبی ﷺ فرما رہے تھے کہ یہود و نصاریٰ پر اللہ کی لعنت ہو، انہوں نے اپنے انبیاء کی قبروں کو سجدہ گاہ بنالیا، حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ دراصل نبی ﷺ ان کے اس عمل سے لوگوں کو تنبیہ فرما رہے تھے تاکہ وہ اس میں مبتلا نہ ہوجائیں۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas Radi Allaho Anho aur Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki jab Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam marz ul wafat mein mubtala hue to baar baar apne rukh anwar par chadar daal lete thy, jab Aap Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko ghabrahat hoti to hum woh chadar Aap Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke chehre se hata dete thy, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam farma rahe thy ki yahood o nasara par Allah ki laanat ho, unhon ne apne ambia ki qabron ko sajda gah bana liya, Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha farmati hain ki darasal Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam un ke iss amal se logon ko tanbih farma rahe thy taake woh iss mein mubtala na hojain.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا: لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَفِقَ يُلْقِي خَمِيصَتَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ رَفَعْنَاهَا عَنْهُ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ" ، تَقُولُ عَائِشَةُ: يُحَذِّرُهُمْ مِثْلَ الَّذِي صَنَعُوا.
