Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24061
It is narrated on the authority of Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the illness of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began in the house of Maimoona (may Allah be pleased with her). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked his pure wives for permission to spend the days of his illness in my house, so they all gave permission. So, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), supported by Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and another man (according to the narrator, it was Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), but Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) did not consider it necessary to mention his name), came out from there. At that time, the blessed feet of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were dragging on the ground. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had already told Abdullah bin Zam'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) in the house of Maimoona (may Allah be pleased with her) to tell the people to offer prayer. Abdullah was going back when he met Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) on the way. He said to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "O Umar! You lead the people in prayer." So, he started leading the prayer. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard the voice of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), he immediately recognized it because his voice was loud. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Isn't this the voice of Umar?" The people submitted, "Why not?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Allah and the believers refuse it. Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Abu Bakr is a soft-hearted man, he will not be able to control his tears." Because whenever Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) used to recite the Holy Quran, he would start crying. And I said this only so that people would not start saying about Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) that this is the first person who stood in the place of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and become sinners. But the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) again said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." When I repeated, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave the same order and said, "You are like the women who were infatuated with Joseph (who had something in their hearts and showed something else with their tongues)."

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کی بیماری کا آغاز حضرت میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے گھر میں ہوا تھا، نبی ﷺ نے اپنی ازواج مطہرات سے بیماری کے ایام میرے گھر میں گذارنے کی اجازت طلب کی تو سب نے اجازت دے دی، چنانچہ نبی ﷺ حضرت عباس رضی اللہ عنہ اور ایک دوسرے آدمی (بقول راوی وہ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ تھے لیکن حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے ان کا نام ذکر کرنا ضروری نہ سمجھا) کے سہارے پر وہاں سے نکلے، اس وقت نبی ﷺ کے پاؤں مبارک زمین پر گھستے ہوئے جا رہے تھے، نبی ﷺ نے حضرت میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے گھر میں ہی حضرت عبداللہ بن زمعہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرما دیا تھا کہ لوگوں سے کہہ دو، وہ نماز پڑھ لیں، عبداللہ واپس جا رہے تھے کہ راستے میں حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے ملاقات ہوگئی، انہوں نے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہہ دیا کہ اے عمر! آپ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھا دیں، چنانچہ وہ نماز پڑھانے لگے۔ نبی ﷺ نے جب حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کی آواز سنی تو فوراً پہچان گئے کیونکہ ان کی آواز بلند تھی، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کیا یہ عمر کی آواز نہیں ہے؟ لوگوں نے عرض کیا کیوں نہیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا اللہ اور مومنین اس سے انکار کرتے ہیں، ابوبکر سے کہو کہ وہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائیں، حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! ابوبکر رقیق القلب آدمی ہیں، وہ اپنے آنسوؤں پر قابو نہ رکھ سکیں گے، کیونکہ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ جب بھی قرآن کریم کی تلاوت فرماتے تو رونے لگتے تھے اور میں نے یہ بات صرف اس لئے کہی تھی کہ کہیں لوگ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے متعلق یہ نہ کہنا شروع کردیں کہ یہ ہے وہ پہلا آدمی جو نبی ﷺ کی جگہ کھڑا ہوا تھا اور گنہگار بن جائیں، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے پھر فرمایا ابوبکر سے کہو کہ وہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائیں، جب میں نے تکرار کی تو نبی ﷺ نے یہی حکم دیا اور فرمایا تم تو یوسف علیہ السلام پر فریفتہ ہونے والی عورتوں کی طرح ہو (جو دل میں کچھ رکھتی تھیں اور زبان سے کچھ ظاہر کرتی تھیں)
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki bimari ka aghaz Hazrat Maimoona Radi Allaho Anha ke ghar mein hua tha, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne apni azwaj-e-mutahharaat se bimari ke ayyam mere ghar mein guzarne ki ijazat talab ki to sab ne ijazat de di, chunancha Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam Hazrat Abbas Radi Allaho Anho aur ek dusre aadmi (baqaul ravi wo Hazrat Ali Radi Allaho Anho the lekin Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha ne unka naam zikr karna zaroori nah samjha) ke sahaare par wahan se nikle, us waqt Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke paon mubarak zameen par ghaste hue ja rahe the, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne Hazrat Maimoona Radi Allaho Anha ke ghar mein hi Hazrat Abdullah bin Za'ma Radi Allaho Anho se farma diya tha ki logon se keh do, wo namaz padh len, Abdullah wapas ja rahe the ki raaste mein Hazrat Umar Radi Allaho Anho se mulaqat hogayi, unhon ne Hazrat Umar Radi Allaho Anho se keh diya ki aye Umar! aap logon ko namaz padha den, chunancha wo namaz padhane lage. Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne jab Hazrat Umar Radi Allaho Anho ki aawaz suni to foran pehchan gaye kyonki unki aawaz buland thi, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya kya yeh Umar ki aawaz nahin hai? logon ne arz kiya kyon nahin, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya Allah aur mominon is se inkar karte hain, Abubakar se kaho ki wo logon ko namaz padhaen, Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha ne arz kiya ya Rasool Allah! Abubakar raqiq-ul-qalb aadmi hain, wo apne aansuon par qaboo nah rakh sakenge, kyonki Hazrat Abubakar Radi Allaho Anho jab bhi Quran Kareem ki tilawat farmate to rone lagte the aur maine yeh baat sirf is liye kahi thi ki kahin log Hazrat Abubakar Radi Allaho Anho ke mutalliq yeh nah kehna shuru kar den ki yeh hai wo pehla aadmi jo Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki jagah khara hua tha aur gunahgar ban jaen, lekin Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne phir farmaya Abubakar se kaho ki wo logon ko namaz padhaen, jab maine takrar ki to Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne yahi hukm diya aur farmaya tum to Yusuf Alaihissalam par farefta hone wali auraton ki tarah ho (jo dil mein kuchh rakhti thin aur zuban se kuchh zahir karti thin).
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت: لَمَّا مَرِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ، فَاسْتَأْذَنَ نِسَاءَهُ أَنْ يُمَرَّضَ فِي بَيْتِي، فَأَذِنَّ لَهُ، فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُعْتَمِدًا عَلَى الْعَبَّاسِ وَعَلَى رَجُلٍ آخَرَ، وَرِجْلَاهُ تَخُطَّانِ فِي الْأَرْضِ، وَقَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ: فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاس: أَتَدْرِي مَنْ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ؟ هُوَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، وَلَكِنَّ عَائِشَةَ لَا تَطِيبُ لَهَا نَفْسًا، قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ: فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ: " مُرْ النَّاسَ فَلْيُصَلُّوا" فَلَقِيَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، فَقَالَ: يَا عُمَرُ، صَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ، فَسَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَوْتَهُ فَعَرَفَهُ، وَكَانَ جَهِيرَ الصَّوْتِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَلَيْسَ هَذَا صَوْتَ عُمَرَ؟"، قَالُوا: بَلَى، قَالَ:" يَأْبَى اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَزَّ ذَلِكَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ، مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ"، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَجُلٌ رَقِيقٌ لَا يَمْلِكُ دَمْعَهُ، وَإِنَّهُ إِذَا قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ بَكَى، قَالَتْ: وَمَا قُلْتِ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا كَرَاهِيَةَ أَنْ يَتَشاءم النَّاسُ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ قَامَ مَقَامَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ:" مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ، فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ"، فَرَاجَعَتْهُ، فَقَالَ:" مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ، إِنَّكُنَّ صَوَاحِبُ يُوسُفَ" .
