Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24062
Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman said: Once, I and my father were in the presence of Aisha and Umm Salma (may Allah be pleased with them), and they both said: "Sometimes, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would be in a state of requiring Ghusl (ritual bath) in the morning, yet he would still observe a fast that day."

ابوبکر بن عبدالرحمن کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں اور میرے والد حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا اور حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے، تو ان دونوں نے فرمایا بعض اوقات نبی ﷺ صبح کے وقت وجوب غسل کی کیفیت میں ہوتے اور پھر روزہ بھی رکھ لیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَبِي عَلَى عَائِشَةَ وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، فَقَالَتَا:" إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا، ثُمَّ يَصُومُ" .
