Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24181
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ayesha, may Allah be pleased with her, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, gave us the choice of staying with him or choosing the world. We chose the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did not consider it a divorce for us.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ہمیں اپنے پاس رہنے یا دنیا لینے کا اختیار دیا، ہم نے نبی ﷺ کو اختیار کرلیا تو نبی ﷺ نے اسے ہم پر کوئی طلاق شمار نہیں کیا۔
Hazrat Aisha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne humain apne pass rehne ya duniya lene ka ikhtiyar diya, hum ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ikhtiyar karliya to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ise hum par koi talaq shumar nahi kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت: " خَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَاخْتَرْنَاهُ، فَلَمْ يَعْدُدْهَا عَلَيْنَا شَيْئًا" .
