Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24564
Narrated Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to observe Itikaf (seclusion in the mosque for worship) and would put his head out of the mosque for me to wash it, while I would be in my room and his whole body would be inside the mosque.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ معتکف ہوتے اور مسجد سے اپنا سر باہر نکال دیتے، میں اسے دھو دیتی حالانکہ میں اپنے حجرے میں ہوتی تھی اور نبی ﷺ کا سارا جسم مسجد میں ہوتا تھا۔
Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aitkaf hote aur masjid se apna sar bahar nikal dete, main ise dho deti halankeh main apne hujre mein hoti thi aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka sara jism masjid mein hota tha.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ:" كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْتِينِي وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى يَتَّكِئَ عَلَى بَابِ حُجْرَتِي فَأَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ وَأَنَا فِي حُجْرَتِي وَسَائِرُ جَسَدِهِ فِي الْمَسْجِدَ" .
