Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25071
Shuraih said: I asked Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, "Did the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ever recite poetry?" She said, "Yes, he would sometimes recite this verse of Abdullah ibn Rawahah, may Allah be pleased with him: ‘And to you will come the one who brings news, whom you did not provide with provisions for the journey.’"

شریح کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پوچھا کیا نبی ﷺ کوئی شعر پڑھا کرتے تھے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا ہاں! حضرت عبداللہ بن رواحہ رضی اللہ عنہ کا یہ شعر کبھی کبھی پڑھتے تھے۔ " اور تمہارے پاس وہ شخص خبریں لے کر آئے گا جسے تم نے زاد راہ نہ دیا ہوگا "۔
Sharih kahte hain keh maine Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se poocha kya Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam koi sher parha karte the? Unhon ne farmaya Haan! Hazrat Abdullah bin Rawaaha Radi Allaho Anhu ka yeh sher kabhi kabhi parhte the. "Aur tumhare pass woh shakhs khabrain lekar aayega jise tumne zad-e-rah na diya hoga".
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لَهَا: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْوِي شَيْئًا مِنَ الشِّعْرِ؟ قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، شِعْرَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ، كَانَ يَرْوِي هَذَا الْبَيْتَ: " وَيَأْتِيكَ بِالْأَخْبَارِ مَنْ لَمْ تُزَوِّدِ" .
