The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2508
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the Ka'bah, he saw pictures of Prophet Abraham and Prophet Mary (peace be upon them). Upon seeing them, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "They already knew that angels do not enter a house where there are pictures (yet they kept these pictures). This is the picture of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him). Look at what they have done to him, showing him holding arrows of divination?"

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ جب نبی ﷺ خانہ کعبہ کے اندر داخل ہوئے تو وہاں حضرت ابراہیم اور حضرت مریم علیہما السلام کی تصویریں دیکھیں، انہیں دیکھ کر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ ”یہ سن چکے تھے کہ فرشتے اس گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے جہاں کوئی تصویر ہو (پھر بھی انہوں نے یہ تصویریں بنا رکھی ہیں)، یہ حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی تصویر ہے، ان کا کیا حال بنا رکھا ہے کہ یہ پانسے کے تیر پکڑے ہوئے ہیں؟“
Saina Ibne Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma se marvi hai ki jab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Khan e Kaaba ke andar dakhil huye to wahan Hazrat Ibrahim aur Hazrat Maryam Alaihimussalam ki tasveerein dekhin, inhen dekh kar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki "Ye sun chuke the ke farishtey is ghar mein dakhil nahin hote jahan koi tasveer ho (phir bhi inhon ne ye tasveerein bana rakhi hain), ye Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam ki tasveer hai, in ka kya haal bana rakha hai ki ye panse ke teer pakde huye hain?".
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، حِينَ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ وَجَدَ فِيهِ صُورَةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَصُورَةَ مَرْيَمَ، فَقَالَ:" أَمَّا هُمْ، فَقَدْ سَمِعُوا أَنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا تَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ، هَذَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ مُصَوَّرًا، فَمَا بَالُهُ يَسْتَقْسِمُ؟!".
