Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25107
Abu Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that once I and a foster brother of 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) were with her. Her brother asked her about the way the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed the bath of Janabah. She asked for a vessel equal to a Sa' (measure) and took a bath. She poured water over her head thrice (and there was a screen between us and her).

ابو سلمہ رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں اور حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا ایک رضاعی بھائی ان کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے، ان کے بھائی نے ان سے نبی ﷺ کے غسل جنابت کے متعلق پوچھا تو انہوں نے ایک برتن منگوایا جو ایک صاع کے برابر تھا اور غسل کرنے لگیں، انہوں نے اپنے سر پر تین مرتبہ پانی ڈالا، (اور اس وقت ہمارے اور ان کے درمیان پردہ حائل تھا)۔
Abu Salma rehmatullah aleh kehte hain ke aik martaba main aur Hazrat Ayesha razi Allah tala anha ka aik rizayi bhai un ki khidmat mein hazir hue, un ke bhai ne un se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke ghusl janabat ke mutaliq pucha to unhon ne aik bartan mangvaya jo aik sa'a ke barabar tha aur ghusl karne lageen, unhon ne apne sar par teen martaba pani dala, (aur us waqt hamare aur un ke darmiyan parda hail tha).
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَ: سَأَلَهَا أَخُوهَا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ، عَنْ غُسْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ؟ " فَدَعَتْ بِمَاءٍ قَدْرَ الصَّاعِ، فَاغْتَسَلَتْ وَصَبَّتْ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا ثَلَاثًا" .
