Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25122
It is narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was angry with Safiyyah bint Huyay (may Allah be pleased with her) over something. Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said to her, "Aisha! Please appease the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on my behalf. I will give you one of my turns." She replied, "Alright." Then she took one of her scarves, which was dyed with saffron, and sprinkled water on it so that its fragrance would spread. Then she came and sat in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Aisha! Move back, it's not your turn today." She submitted, "This is Allah's blessing, which He bestows upon whomever He wills." Then she narrated the whole incident to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) became pleased with Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her).

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ حضرت صفیہ بنت حیی رضی اللہ عنہ سے کسی بات پر ناراض تھے، حضرت صفیہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان سے کہا کہ عائشہ! تم نبی ﷺ کو میری طرف سے راضی کردو، میں اپنی ایک باری تمہیں دیتی ہو، انہوں نے کہا ٹھیک ہے، پھر انہوں نے اپنا ایک دوپٹہ لیا، جس پر زعفران سے رنگ کیا تھا اور اس پر پانی چھڑکا تاکہ اس کی مہک پھیل جائے، پھر آ کر نبی ﷺ کے پہلو میں بیٹھ گئیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا عائشہ! پیچھے ہٹو آج تمہاری باری نہیں ہے، انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ یہ تو اللہ کا فضل ہے، جسے چاہے عطاء فرمادے، پھر نبی ﷺ کو سارا واقعہ بتایا تو نبی ﷺ حضرت صفیہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے راضی ہوگئے۔
Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Hazrat Safiyya bint Huyai ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se kisi baat par naraz the, Hazrat Safiyya ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne un se kaha ki Ayesha! tum Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko meri taraf se razi kardo, mein apni ek baari tumhein deti hun, unhon ne kaha theek hai, phir unhon ne apna ek dopatta liya, jis par zaffran se rang kiya tha aur us par pani chhidka taki us ki mahak phail jaye, phir aa kar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pehlu mein baith gayin, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Ayesha! peeche hato aaj tumhari baari nahin hai, unhon ne arz kiya ki yeh to Allah ka fazl hai, jise chahe ata farma de, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko sara waqea bataya to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Hazrat Safiyya ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se razi ho gaye.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، وَعَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ سُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: وَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ، فَقَالَتْ لِي: هَلْ لَكِ إِلَى أَنْ تُرْضِينَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِّي وَأَجْعَلُ لَكِ يَوْمِي؟ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، فَأَخَذَتْ خِمَارًا لَهَا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ، فَرَشَّتْهُ بِالْمَاءِ ثُمَّ اخْتَمَرَتْ بِهِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ: لِيَفُوحَ رِيحُهُ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمِهَا، فَجَلَسَتْ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ، فَقَالَ: " إِلَيْكِ يَا عَائِشَةُ فَلَيْسَ هَذَا يَوْمَكِ"، فَقُلْتُ: فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ، ثُمَّ أَخْبَرْتُهُ خَبَرِي . قَالَ عَفَّانُ فَرَضِيَ عَنْهَا.
