The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2516
Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that once I was in the presence of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) in the plain of Arafat, and he was eating pomegranates. He said, "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not fast on the day of Arafat. Umm al-Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her) sent him milk, and he drank it."

سعید بن جبیر رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں ایک مرتبہ میدان عرفات میں سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا، وہ اس وقت انار کھا رہے تھے، فرمانے لگے کہ نبی ﷺ نے بھی میدان عرفہ میں روزہ نہیں رکھا تھا، سیدہ ام الفضل رضی اللہ عنہا نے ان کے پاس دودھ بھیجا تھا جو انہوں نے پی لیا۔
Saeed bin Jubair rehmatullah aleh kehte hain ki main aik martaba maidan e Arafat mein Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas razi Allah anhuma ki khidmat mein hazir hua, woh us waqt anar kha rahe thay, farmane lage ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne bhi maidan e Arafah mein roza nahi rakha tha, Sayyida Umm ul Fazal razi Allah anha ne unke pass doodh bheja tha jo unhon ne pee liya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَهُوَ يَأْكُلُ رُمَّانًا بِعَرَفَةَ، وَحَدَّثَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" أَفْطَرَ بِعَرَفَةَ، بَعَثَتْ إِلَيْهِ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ بِلَبَنٍ، فَشَرِبَ".
