Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25225
Abu Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I asked Umm al-Mu'minin, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "How did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) begin his prayer when he got up at night?" She replied, "When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) got up at night, he would say the Takbir (Allahu Akbar) and then say: 'O Allah! Lord of Jibril, Mikail, and Israfil! Creator of the heavens and the earth! Knower of the unseen and the seen! You are the Judge between Your servants in their disputes. Guide me to the truth in the matters wherein they differ, by Your permission, for You guide whom You will to a straight path.' Abu Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) added: When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would get up at night, he would supplicate, 'O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil suggestion, the puffing, and the blowing of Satan.' And he (the Prophet) would say, 'Seek refuge with Allah from these things.' The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is meant by the evil suggestion, the puffing, and the blowing of Satan?' He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, 'The evil suggestion refers to death that befalls the children of Adam, the blowing refers to arrogance, and the puffing refers to poetry.'"

ابو سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پوچھا کہ نبی ﷺ رات کو بیدار ہوتے تو نماز کا آغاز کس طرح فرماتے تھے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ جب بیدار ہوتے تو تکبیر کہتے اور فرماتے اے اللہ! اے جبریل، میکائیل اور اسرافیل کے رب! زمین و آسمان کو پیدا کرنے والے! پوشیدہ ظاہر چیزوں کو جاننے والے! تو ہی اپنے بندوں کے اختلافات کے درمیان فیصلہ کرسکتا ہے، ان اختلافی معاملات میں مجھے اپنے حکم سے صحیح راستے پر چلا، کیونکہ تو جسے چاہتا ہے سیدھے راستے کی ہدایت دے دیتا ہے۔ ابو سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ جب رات کو بیدار ہوتے تو یہ دعاء پڑھتے، اے اللہ! میں شیطان مردود کے ہمز، نفث اور نفخ سے آپ کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں اور فرمایا کرتے تھے کہ تم بھی اللہ سے یہ پناہ مانگا کرو، صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! شیطان کے ہمز نفث اور نفخ سے کیا مراد ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ " ہمز " سے مراد موت ہے جو بنی آدم کو آتی ہے، نفخ سے مراد تکبر ہے اور نفث سے مراد شعر ہے۔
Abu Salma RA kahte hain ki maine Ummulmomineen Hazrat Ayesha RA se poocha ke Nabi SAW raat ko bedaar hote to namaz ka aghaz kis tarah farmate the? Unhon ne farmaya ke Nabi SAW jab bedaar hote to takbeer kahte aur farmate Ae Allah! Ae Jibraeel, Mikael aur Israfeel ke Rab! Zameen o asmaan ko paida karne wale! Posheeda zahir cheezon ko jaanne wale! To hi apne bandon ke ikhtilafath ke darmiyaan faisla karsakta hai, in ikhtilafti maamlaat mein mujhe apne hukm se sahi raaste par chala, kyunki tu jise chahta hai seedhe raaste ki hidayat de deta hai. Abu Salma RA kahte hain ke Nabi SAW jab raat ko bedaar hote to yeh dua padhte, Ae Allah! mein shaitan mardood ke hamz, nafth aur nafk se aap ki panaah mein aata hun aur farmaya karte the ke tum bhi Allah se yeh panaah maanga karo, Sahaba RA ne arz kiya Ya Rasulullah! shaitan ke hamz nafth aur nafk se kya murad hai? Nabi SAW ne farmaya ke "hamz" se murad maut hai jo bani Adam ko aati hai, nafk se murad takabbur hai aur nafth se murad shair hai.
حَدَّثَنَا قُرَادٌ أَبُو نُوحٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْتَتِحُ صَلَاتَهُ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ؟ قَالَتْ: كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ كَبَّرَ، وَيَقُولُ: " اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ جِبْرِيلَ، وَمِيكَائِيلَ، وَإِسْرَافِيلَ، فَاطِرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ، أَنْتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ، اهْدِنِي لِمَا اخْتَلَفْتُ فِيهِ مَنْ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِكَ، إِنَّكَ تَهْدِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ" ..
