Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25508
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that in the last days of his life, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would frequently say, "Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him. I seek forgiveness from Allah, and I turn to Him in repentance." Once, I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! I hear you uttering these words very often. What is the reason?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "My Lord has informed me that I will witness a sign for my Ummah (nation), and He has commanded me that when I see that sign, I should glorify Him with His praise and seek forgiveness from Him, for He is the Most Accepting of repentance. And I have seen that sign." Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited Surah An-Nasr (Chapter 110 of the Quran) in its entirety: “When comes the Help of Allah (to you, O Muhammad (PBUH)) and the conquest (of Makkah), and you see that the people enter Allah's Religion in crowds...”

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ آخری عمر میں کثرت کے ساتھ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ کہتے تھے، ایک مرتبہ میں نے عرض کیا کہ یار سول اللہ! میں آپ کو کلمات کثرت کے ساتھ کہتے ہوئے سنتی ہوں، اس کی وجہ ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا مجھے میرے رب نے بتایا تھا کہ میں اپنی امت کی ایک علامت دیکھوں گا اور مجھے حکم دیا تھا کہ جب میں وہ علامت دیکھ لوں تو اللہ کی حمد کے ساتھ اس کی تسبیح بیان کروں اور استغفار کروں کہ وہ بڑا توبہ قبول کرنے والا ہے اور میں وہ علامت دیکھ چکا ہوں، پھر نبی ﷺ نے إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا پوری سورت تلاوت فرمائی۔
Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aakhri umar mein ksrat ke sath Subhan Allahi Wa Bihamdihi Astaghfirullah Wa Atubu Ilaih kehte thay, aik martaba mein ne arz kiya ke ya Rasul Allah! mein aap ko kalmat ksrat ke sath kehte huye sunti hun, is ki wajah hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya mujhe mere Rab ne bataya tha ki mein apni ummat ki aik alamat dekhon ga aur mujhe hukm diya tha ki jab mein woh alamat dekh lun to Allah ki hamd ke sath us ki tasbeeh bayan karoon aur istighfar karoon ki woh bada tauba qubool karne wala hai aur mein woh alamat dekh chuka hun, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Iza Ja'a Nasrullahi Wal Fathu Wa Ra'aytannasa Yadkhuluna Fi Deenillahi Afwaja puri surat tilawat farmai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكْثِرُ، أَنْ يَقُولَ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ:" سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ، وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ". قَالَتْ: وَكَانَ يُكْثِرُ، أَنْ يَقُولَهُ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّكَ تَدْعُو بِدُعَاءٍ لَمْ تَكُنْ تَدْعُو بِهِ قَبْلَ الْيَوْمِ، فَقَالَ:" إِنَّ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَخْبَرَنِي، أَنِّي سَأَرَى عَلَمًا فِي أُمَّتِي، وَأَنِّي إِذَا رَأَيْتُ ذَلِكَ الْعَلَمَ أَنْ أُسَبِّحَ بِحَمْدِهِ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرَهُ، فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ ذَلِكَ: إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا .
