Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25922
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would be in a state of Janabah (major ritual impurity) in the morning, then he would take a bath and complete the fast for the rest of the day.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ بعض اوقات نبی ﷺ صبح کے وقت حالت جنابت میں ہوتے، پھر غسل کرلیتے اور بقیہ دن کا روزہ مکمل کرلیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ , ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ , عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ:" كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا , ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ , وَيُتِمُّ صَوْمَهُ" .
