Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25964

It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fasting frequently in Shaban, but I did not see him fasting in any other month, except for a few days, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to fast almost the entire month of Shaban.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے کثرت کے ساتھ نبی ﷺ کو شعبان میں روزے رکھتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے، کسی اور مہینے میں نہیں دیکھا، نبی ﷺ اس کے صرف چند دن کو چھوڑ کر تقریباً پورا مہینہ ہی روزہ رکھتے تھے۔

Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai keh maine kasrat ke sath Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko Shaban mein rozy rakhte hue dekha hai, kisi aur mahine mein nahi dekha, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam is ke sirf chand din ko chhor kar taqreeban poora mahina hi roza rakhte thay.

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ: " كَانَ أَكْثَرُ صَوْمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ شَهْرٍ مِنَ السَّنَةِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ , فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَصُومُهُ كُلَّهُ" .
