Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26131
It is narrated on the authority of Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha Radi Allahu Anha that most of the prayers of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) were offered while sitting, except for the obligatory prayers. And the most beloved deed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the one that was done regularly, even if it was little.

ام المؤمنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کی اکثر نماز بیٹھ کر ہوتی تھی، سوائے فرض نمازوں کے اور نبی ﷺ کے نزدیک سب سے زیادہ محبوب عمل وہ ہوتا تھا جو ہمیشہ کیا جائے اگرچہ تھوڑا ہو۔
Umm ul momineen hazrat ayesha razi Allah tala anha se marvi hai ke nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki aksar namaz baith kar hoti thi siwae farz namazon ke aur nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke nazdeek sab se zyada mahboob amal wo hota tha jo hamesha kiya jaye agarche thora ho.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ: " كَانَ أَكْثَرُ صَلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسًا إِلَّا الصَّلَاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ , وَكَانَ أَحَبُّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَيْهِ مَا دَاوَمَ عَلَيْهِ الْإِنْسَانُ , وَإِنْ كَانَ يَسِيرًا" .
