The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2616
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the most generous of all people, and he was even more generous in the month of Ramadan when Jibreel (Gabriel), peace be upon him, would meet him. Every night in Ramadan, Jibreel (peace be upon him) would revise the Holy Qur'an with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). On the night the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would recite the Holy Qur'an to Jibreel (peace be upon him), in the morning he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would be more generous than a strong blowing wind.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ سب سے زیادہ سخی انسان تھے، اور اس سے بھی زیادہ سخی ماہ رمضان میں ہوتے تھے جبکہ جبرئیل امین علیہ السلام سے ان کی ملاقات ہوتی، اور رمضان کی ہر رات میں حضرت جبرئیل علیہ السلام نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ قرآن کریم کا دور فرماتے تھے، جس رات کو نبی ﷺ حضرت جبرئیل علیہ السلام کو قرآن کریم سناتے، اس کی صبح کو آپ ﷺ تیز چلنے والی ہوا سے بھی زیادہ سخی ہو جاتے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sab se zyada sakhi insan thay, aur is se bhi zyada sakhi mah Ramadan mein hotay thay jabke Jibra'il Amin Alaihissalam se un ki mulaqat hoti, aur Ramadan ki har raat mein Hazrat Jibra'il Alaihissalam Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Quran Kareem ka daur farmatay thay, jis raat ko Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Hazrat Jibra'il Alaihissalam ko Quran Kareem sunatay, us ki subah ko aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tez chalne wali hawa se bhi zyada sakhi ho jatay.
حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" أَجْوَدَ النَّاسِ، وَكَانَ أَجْوَدَ مَا يَكُونُ فِي رَمَضَانَ، حِينَ يَلْقَى جِبْرِيلَ، وَكَانَ جِبْرِيلُ يَلْقَاهُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، فَيُدَارِسُهُ الْقُرْآنَ، قَالَ: فَلَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَجْوَدُ بِالْخَيْرِ مِنَ الرِّيحِ الْمُرْسَلَةِ".
