Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26205
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). She said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say this supplication, “O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil of what my soul has earned (by committing sins) or left (of good deeds)."

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے نبی ﷺ کی دعاء کے متعلق پوچھا تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ یہ دعا فرماتے تھے، اے اللہ! میں ان چیزوں کے شر سے آپ کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں جو میرے نفس نے کی ہیں یا نہیں کیں۔

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ , قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ , عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ , قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ أَخْبِرِينِي بِبَعْضِ دُعَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَتْ: كَانَ يَقُولُ: " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَمِلْتُ , وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ" .
