Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26306
Narrated Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her: When the people intended to bathe the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, a difference of opinion arose among them. They said, "By Allah! We do not know whether to remove the clothes from the body of the Prophet (ﷺ) like we do with other men or give him a bath with his clothes on." In the meantime, Allah caused them to fall into a slumber, and by Allah, there was not a single man among them whose chin did not rest upon his chest. Then, a voice was heard from a corner of the house, from someone they did not recognize, saying, "Bathe the Prophet (ﷺ) with his clothes on." So, the people came forward and began to bathe the Prophet (ﷺ) with his clothes on, pouring water infused with lotus leaves over his body and rubbing his blessed body over the shirt. Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said, "If I had known then what I know now, I would have had the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) bathe him ourselves."

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ جب لوگوں نے نبی ﷺ سے غسل کا ارادہ کیا تو لوگوں کے درمیان اختلاف رائے ہوگیا اور وہ کہنے لگے بخدا! ہمیں کچھ سمجھ نہیں آ رہا کہ کیا کریں، عام مردوں کی طرح نبی ﷺ کے جسم کو کپڑوں سے خالی کریں یا کپڑوں سمیت غسل دے دیں؟ اس اثناء میں اللہ نے ان پر اونگھ طاری کردی اور واللہ ایک آدمی ایسا نہ رہا جس کی ٹھوڑی اس کے سینے پر نہ ہو اور وہ سو گیا، پھر گھر کے کسی کونے سے کسی آدمی کی باتوں کی آواز آئی جسے وہ نہیں جانتے تھے اور وہ کہنے لگا کہ نبی ﷺ کو ان کے کپڑوں سمیت ہی غسل دو، چنانچہ لوگ آگے بڑھے اور نبی ﷺ کو کپڑوں سمیت غسل دینے لگے اور نبی ﷺ کے جسم پر بیری کا پانی انڈیلا جانے لگا اور قمیص کے اوپر سے ہی جسم مبارک کو ملا جانے لگا، حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ اگر مجھے پہلے ہی وہ بات سمجھ میں آجاتی تو جو بعد میں سمجھ آئی تو نبی ﷺ کو غسل ان کی ازواج مطہرات ہی دیتیں۔
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki jab logon ne Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam se ghusl ka irada kiya to logon ke darmiyan ikhtilaf rae ho gaya aur wo kehne lage bukhuda! humain kuch samjh nahi aa raha ki kya karen, aam mardon ki tarah Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke jism ko kapdon se khali karen ya kapdon samet ghusl de den? Iss athna mein Allah ne un par ungh tari kardi aur wallahi ek aadmi aisa na raha jiske thuddi uske seene par na ho aur wo so gaya, phir ghar ke kisi kone se kisi aadmi ki baton ki aawaz aai jise wo nahi jante the aur wo kehne laga ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko unke kapdon samet hi ghusl do, chunancha log aage badhe aur Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko kapdon samet ghusl dene lage aur Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke jism par beri ka pani undaila jaane laga aur qameez ke upar se hi jism mubarak ko milaya jaane laga, Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha farmati hain ki agar mujhe pehle hi wo baat samjh mein aa jati to jo baad mein samjh aai to Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko ghusl unki azwaj mutahirat hi detin.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَي بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ: " لَمَّا أَرَادُوا غُسْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ , فَقَالُوا: وَاللَّهِ مَا نَرَى كَيْفَ نَصْنَعُ , أَنُجَرِّدُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا نُجَرِّدُ مَوْتَانَا أَمْ نُغَسِّلُهُ وَعَلَيْهِ ثِيَابُهُ؟ قَالَتْ: فَلَمَّا اخْتَلَفُوا أَرْسَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ السِّنَةَ حَتَّى وَاللَّهِ مَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ مِنْ رَجُلٍ إِلَّا ذَقْنُهُ فِي صَدْرِهِ نَائِمًا , قَالَتْ: ثُمَّ كَلَّمَهُمْ مِنْ نَاحِيَةِ الْبَيْتِ , لَا يَدْرُونَ مَنْ هُوَ , فَقَالَ: اغْسِلُوا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِ ثِيَابُهُ , قَالَتْ: فَثَارُوا إِلَيْهِ , فَغَسَّلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي قَمِيصِهِ يُفَاضُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءُ وَالسِّدْرُ , وَيُدَلِّكُهُ الرِّجَالُ بِالْقَمِيصِ , وَكَانَتْ تَقُولُ: لَوْ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ مَا غَسَّلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا نِسَاؤُهُ" .
