Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26353
It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas and Aisha, may Allah be pleased with them, that when the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was suffering from his final illness, he would repeatedly cover his blessed face with a sheet. When the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, felt uneasy, we would remove the sheet from his face. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “May the curse of Allah be upon the Jews and Christians! They took the graves of their Prophets (peace be upon them) as places of worship.” Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said that in fact the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was warning people against this practice so that they would not indulge in it.

حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس اور حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ جب نبی ﷺ مرض الوفات میں مبتلا ہوئے تو بار بار اپنے رخ انور پر چادر ڈال لیتے تھے، جب آپ ﷺ کو گھبراہٹ ہوتی تو ہم وہ چادر آپ ﷺ کے چہرے سے ہٹا دیتے تھے، نبی ﷺ فرما رہے تھے کہ یہود و انصاریٰ پر اللہ کی لعنت ہو، انہوں نے اپنے انبیاء (علیہم السلام) کی قبروں کو سجدہ گاہ بنا لیا، حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ دراصل نبی ﷺ ان کے اس عمل سے لوگوں کو تنبیہ فرما رہے تھے تاکہ وہ اس میں مبتلا نہ ہوجائیں۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas aur Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki jab Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam marz ul wafat mein mubtala hue to baar baar apne rukh anwar par chadar daal lete the, jab Aap Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko ghabrahat hoti to hum wo chadar Aap Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke chehre se hata dete the, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam farma rahe the ki yahud o ansara par Allah ki laanat ho, unhon ne apne ambia Alaihimussalam ki kabron ko sajda gah bana liya, Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha farmati hain ki darasal Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam un ke is amal se logon ko tanbih farma rahe the taake wo is mein mubtala na hojain.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنْ صَالِحٍ , قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ وَعَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ , قَالَا: لَمَّا نُزِلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَفِقَ يُلْقِي خَمِيصَةً عَلَى وَجْهِهِ , فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا , قَالَ وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ: " لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ" , يُحَذِّرُهُمْ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعُوا .
