Hadith of Hafsa, the Mother of the Believers, daughter of Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them both)

حَدِيثُ حَفْصَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِنْتِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26431

It is narrated from Hafsa that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would pray two rak'ahs at the time of the true dawn (Fajr).


Grade: Sahih

حضرت حفصہ سے مروی ہے کہ طلوع صبح صادق کے وقت نبی ﷺ دو رکعتیں پڑھتے تھے۔

Hazrat Hafsa se marvi hai ke tolo subah sadiq ke waqt Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) do rakat namaz parhte thy.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ: " يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ إِذَا بَدَا الْفَجْرُ" .
