Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26564
Ya'la bin Mamlak said that I asked Umm Salama, may Allah be pleased with her, about the night prayer and recitation of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. She said: Where are you and where is the prayer and recitation of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him? As long as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would sleep, he would pray for the same duration, and as long as he would pray, he would sleep for the same duration. Then, she described the recitation of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying that it was with the clarity of each and every letter.

یعلی بن مملک کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کی رات کی نماز اور قرأت کے متعلق حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا تو انہوں نے فرمایا تم کہاں اور نبی ﷺ کی نماز اور قرأت کہاں؟ نبی ﷺ جتنی دیرسوتے تھے اتنی دیر نماز پڑھتے تھے اور جتنی دیر نماز پڑھتے تھے اتنی دیرسوتے تھے پھر نبی ﷺ کی قرأت کی جو کیفیت انہوں نے بیان فرمائی وہ ایک ایک حرف کی وضاحت کے ساتھ تھی۔
Yaali bin Mamlik kahte hain ke maine Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki raat ki namaz aur qirat ke mutalliq Hazrat Umm Salma (Razi Allah Tala Anha) se pucha to unhon ne farmaya tum kahan aur Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki namaz aur qirat kahan? Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) jitni dair sote the utni dair namaz parhte the aur jitni dair namaz parhte the utni dair sote the phir Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki qirat ki jo kefiyat unhon ne bayan farmai wo aik aik harf ki wazahat ke sath thi.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مَمْلَكٍ ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَقِرَاءَتِهِ , قَالَتْ: مَا لَكُمْ وَلِصَلَاتِهِ وَلِقِرَاءَتِهِ؟ قَدْ كَانَ: " يُصَلِّي قَدْرَ مَا يَنَامُ، وَيَنَامُ قَدْرَ مَا يُصَلِّي، وَإِذَا هِيَ تَنْعَتُ قِرَاءَتَهُ، فَإِذَا قِرَاءَةٌ مُفَسَّرَةٌ حَرْفًا حَرْفًا .
