Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26579
It is narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Umm Saleem submitted in the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! Allah Almighty is not shy of the truth, so tell me, if a woman experiences a wet dream, is it obligatory for her to perform Ghusl (ritual bath)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "Yes, if she sees the water (discharge)."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت ام سلیم نے بارگاہ رسالت میں عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! اللہ تعالیٰ حق بات سے نہیں شرماتا یہ بتائیے کہ اگر عورت کو احتلام ہوجائے تو کیا اس پر بھی غسل واجب ہوگا؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا ہاں جب کہ وہ پانی دیکھے۔
Hazrat Umm Salma raziallahu anha se marvi hai ke ek martaba Hazrat Umm Saleem ne bargah risalat mein arz kiya Ya Rasulullah! Allah ta'ala haq baat se nahin sharmate yeh bataiye ke agar aurat ko ehtelam hojae to kya us par bhi ghusl wajib hoga? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Haan jab ke woh pani dekhe.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ , أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ سَأَلَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ، هَلْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ غُسْلٌ إِذَا احْتَلَمَتْ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، إِذَا رَأَتْ الْمَاءَ" .
