Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26613
It is narrated by Umme Salma (RA) that once Umme Sulaim (RA) submitted in the court of the Prophet (PBUH), "O Messenger of Allah, Allah Almighty is not ashamed of the truth, so please tell me, if a woman experiences a wet dream, is Ghusl (ritual bath) mandatory for her too?" The Prophet (PBUH) replied, "Yes, when she sees the discharge." Upon this, Umme Salma started laughing and asked, "Do women also experience wet dreams?" The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Then why does a child resemble his mother?"

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت ام سلیم نے بارگاہ رسالت میں عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ اللہ تعالیٰ حق بات سے نہیں شرماتا یہ بتائے کہ اگر عورت کو احتلام ہوجائے تو کیا اس پر بھی غسل واجب ہوگا؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا ہاں جب کہ وہ پانی دیکھے اس پر حضرت ام سلمہ ہنسنے لگیں اور کہنے لگیں کہ کیا عورت کو بھی احتلام ہوتا ہے نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تو پھر بچہ اپنی ماں کے مشابہ کیوں ہوتا ہے؟
Hazrat Umm Salma ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Hazrat Umm Sulaim ne bargah risalat mein arz kiya Ya Rasulullah Allah taala haq baat se nahin sharmate ye bataye ki agar aurat ko ehtelam hojae to kya us par bhi ghusl wajib hoga? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya han jab k woh pani dekhe. Us par Hazrat Umm Salma hansne lagi aur kehne lagi ki kya aurat ko bhi ehtelam hota hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya to phir baccha apni maan ke mushaba kyon hota hai?
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ , وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ , قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَةِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ: جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَأَلَتْهُ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ؟ فَقَالَ: " إِذَا رَأَتْ الْمَاءَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ" , قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: فَضَحْتِ النِّسَاءَ، وَهَلْ تَحْتَلِمُ الْمَرْأَةُ؟ فَقَال النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" تَرِبَتْ يَمِينُكِ، فَبِمَ يُشْبِهُهَا وَلَدُهَا إِذًا" .
