The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2676
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the time of the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) death approached, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Bring me a shoulder bone, I will write for you such a writing that after me, no two of you will differ." The people remained engaged in their talk and clamor. A woman said: "Shame on you, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is making a will."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ جب نبی ﷺ کے وصال کا وقت قریب آیا تو آپ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”میرے پاس شانے کی ہڈی لے کر آؤ، میں تمہیں ایسی تحریر لکھ دوں کہ میرے بعد تم میں سے دو آدمی بھی اختلاف نہ کریں۔“ لوگ اپنی باتوں اور شور میں مشغول رہے، ایک خاتون نے کہا: تم پر افسوس ہے، نبی ﷺ وصیت فرما رہے ہیں۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki jab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke wisal ka waqt qareeb aaya to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Mere paas kandhe ki haddi le kar aao, main tumhen aisi tahrir likh doon ke mere baad tum mein se do aadmi bhi ikhtilaf na karen.” Log apni baaton aur shor mein masghul rahe, ek khatoon ne kaha: Tum par afsos hai, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) wasiyat farma rahe hain.
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: لَمَّا حُضِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" ائْتُونِي بِكَتِفٍ أَكْتُبْ لَكُمْ فِيهِ كِتَابًا، لَا يَخْتَلِفُ مِنْكُمْ رَجُلَانِ بَعْدِي" , قَالَ: فَأَقْبَلَ الْقَوْمُ فِي لَغَطِهِمْ، فَقَالَتْ الْمَرْأَةُ: وَيْحَكُمْ، عَهْدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
