Hadith of Maymunah bint al-Harith al-Hilaliyah, the wife of the Prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26842
It is narrated by Maimunah that I kept water for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to take a bath. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took a bath of Janabat (ritual bath after sexual intercourse). When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had finished taking a bath, I came forward with a cloth (towel), but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gestured with his hand and forbade me.

حضرت میمونہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کے لئے غسل کا پانی رکھا نبی ﷺ نے غسل جنابت فرمایا جب نبی ﷺ غسل فرماچکے تو میں ایک کپڑا (تولیہ) لے کر حاضر ہوئی لیکن نبی ﷺ نے ہاتھ کے اشارے سے منع فرما دیا۔
Hazrat Maimoona se marvi hai keh maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke liye ghusl ka pani rakha Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ghusl janabat farmaya jab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ghusl farma chuke to main ek kapra (toliya) lekar hazir hui lekin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hath ke ishare se mana farma diya.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ خَالَتِهِ مَيْمُونَةَ ، قَالَتْ:" وَضَعْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غِسْلًا، فَاغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ بِثَوْبٍ حِينَ اغْتَسَلَ، فَقَالَ: بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا" ، يَعْنِي: رَدَّهُ.
