The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2702
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever sees something he dislikes in his ruler, let him be patient, for whoever opposes the Jama'ah (Muslim community) even for the space of a hand span and then dies, he dies the death of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance)."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص اپنے حکمران میں کوئی ناپسندیدہ بات دیکھے تو اسے صبر کرنا چاہیے، اس لئے کہ جو شخص ایک بالشت کے برابر بھی جماعت کی مخالفت کرے اور اس حال میں مر جائے تو وہ جاہلیت کی موت مرا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Jo shakhs apne hakumran mein koi napasandeedah baat dekhe to use sabar karna chahie, is liye ki jo shakhs ek baalishth ke barabar bhi jamaat ki mukhalifat kare aur is hal mein mar jae to woh jahiliyat ki maut mara۔“
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْجَعْدِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيَّ ، يُحَدِّثُ , عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، يَرْوِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" مَنْ رَأَى مِنْ أَمِيرِهِ شَيْئًا يَكْرَهُهُ، فَلْيَصْبِرْ، فَإِنَّهُ مَا أَحَدٌ يُفَارِقُ الْجَمَاعَةَ شِبْرًا فَيَمُوتُ، إِلَّا مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً".
