The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2710
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would wake up at night to pray, he would say this supplication: "O Allah, all praise is due to You, You are the Light of the heavens and the earth, and all praise is due to You, You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth, and all praise is due to You, You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. You are the Truth, and Your word is the Truth, and Your promise is the Truth, and the meeting with You is the Truth, and Paradise is the Truth, and the Fire is the Truth, and the Hour is the Truth. O Allah, to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed, and upon You I have relied, and to You I have turned, and with Your help I argue, and to You I have appealed for judgment. So forgive me what I have done in the past and what I will do in the future, and what I have concealed and what I have revealed. You are Allah, there is no deity worthy of worship except You."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جب رات کے درمیان نماز پڑھنے کے لئے بیدار ہوتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے: «اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيَّامُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَأَعْلَنْتُ أَنْتَ الَّذِي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ» ”اے اللہ! تمام تعریفیں آپ کے لئے ہیں، آپ ہی زمین و آسمان کو روشن کرنے والے ہیں، اور تمام تعریفیں آپ کے لئے ہیں آپ زمین و آسمان کو قائم رکھنے والے ہیں، اور تمام تعریفیں اللہ آپ کے لئے ہیں آپ زمین و آسمان اور ان کے درمیان تمام مخلوقات کے رب ہیں، آپ برحق ہیں، آپ کی بات برحق ہے، آپ کا وعدہ برحق ہے، آپ سے ملاقات برحق ہے، جنت برحق ہے، جہنم برحق ہے اور قیامت برحق ہے، اے اللہ! میں آپ کے تابع فرمان ہوگیا، آپ پر ایمان لایا، آپ پر بھروسہ کیا، آپ کی طرف رجوع کیا، آپ ہی کی طاقت سے جھگڑتا ہوں، آپ ہی کو اپنا ثالث بناتا ہوں، اس لئے میرے اگلے پچھلے پوشیدہ اور ظاہر تمام گناہوں کو معاف فرما دیجئے، آپ ہی ہیں جس کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab raat ke darmiyan namaz padhne ke liye bedar hote to ye dua parhte: «Allahumma lakal hamdu anta nurus samawati wal ardi walakal hamdu anta qayyamus samawati wal ardi walakal hamdu anta rabbus samawati wal ardi waman feehinna antal haqqu wa qau lukal haqqu wa wa'dukal haqqu wa liqa'uka haqqu wal jannatu haqqu wan naru haqqu wassaa'atu haqqu allahumma laka aslamtu wa bika amantu wa alayka tawakkaltu wa ilayka anabtu wa bika khasamtu wa ilayka hakamtu faghfir li ma qaddamtu wa ma akhkhartu wa ma asrartu wa a'lantu antal lazi la ilaha illa ant» ”Aye Allah! Tamam tarifain aap ke liye hain, aap hi zameen o asman ko roshan karne wale hain, aur tamam tarifain aap ke liye hain aap zameen o asman ko qaim rakhne wale hain, aur tamam tarifain Allah aap ke liye hain aap zameen o asman aur in ke darmiyan tamam makhlooq ke rab hain, aap barhaq hain, aap ki baat barhaq hai, aap ka wada barhaq hai, aap se mulaqat barhaq hai, jannat barhaq hai, jahannam barhaq hai aur qayamat barhaq hai, aye Allah! Main aap ke tabi farman ho gaya, aap par iman laya, aap par bharosa kiya, aap ki taraf rujoo kiya, aap hi ki taqat se jhagadta hun, aap hi ko apna salis banata hun, is liye mere agle pichhle poshida aur zahir tamam gunahon ko maaf farma dijiye, aap hi hain jis ke ilawa koi mabood nahin.”
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ، يَقُولُ:" اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ قَيَّامُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ، وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ، وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ، وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ، وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ، اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَأَعْلَنْتُ، أَنْتَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ".
