ومن مسند بني هاشم
The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2840
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever learns astrology has learned a branch of magic; the more he increases in (the knowledge of) astrology, the more he increases in magic."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص علم نجوم کو سیکھتا ہے وہ جادو کا ایک شعبہ سیکھتا ہے، جتنا وہ علم نجوم میں آگے بڑھتا جائے گا اسی قدر جادو میں آگے نکلتا جائے گا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Jo shakhs ilm nujum ko seekhta hai woh jadu ka ek shuba seekhta hai, jitna woh ilm nujum mein aage badhta jayega usi kadar jadu mein aage nikalta jayega.”
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَالِكٍ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْأَخْنَسِ ، عَنْ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُغِيثٍ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ: رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَنْ اقْتَبَسَ عِلْمًا مِنَ النُّجُومِ، اقْتَبَسَ شُعْبَةً مِنْ سِحْرٍ، مَا زَادَ زَادَ، وَمَا زَادَ زَادَ".
