ومن مسند بني هاشم

The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عبد الله بن لهيعة الحضرمي ضعيف الحديث
يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ يحيى بن إسحاق البجلي ثقة

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2855

Taus, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “We saw Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him (sitting on his heels with his toes bent under), so we said to him, ‘People consider this to be bad manners.’ He replied: ‘This is the Sunnah of your Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him."

طاؤس رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما (کو اپنے قدموں کے بل اکڑوں بیٹھے ہوئے دیکھا تو ان) سے یہ عرض کیا کہ لوگ تو اسے گنوار پن سمجھتے ہیں، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ یہ تمہارے نبی ﷺ کی سنت ہے۔

Ta'us rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ki hum ne Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a (ko apne qadmon ke bal akdon baithe hue dekha to un) se ye arz kiya ki log to ise ganwar pan samjhte hain, unhon ne farmaya ki ye tumhare Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki sunnat hai.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنِ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، قَالَ:" رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَجْثُو عَلَى صُدُورِ قَدَمَيْهِ، فَقُلْتُ: هَذَا يَزْعُمُ النَّاسُ أَنَّهُ مِنَ الْجَفَاءِ، قَالَ: هُوَ سُنَّةُ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".
