The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2892
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to teach us Tashahhud (the testimony of faith) in the same way as he used to teach us a Surah (chapter) of the Holy Quran.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ ہمیں تشہد اسی طرح سکھایا کرتے تھے جیسے قرآن کریم کی کوئی سورت سکھاتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُنَا التَّشَهُّدَ، كَمَا يُعَلِّمُنَا السُّورَةَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ".
