The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2974
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Beware of attributing anything to me except that which you are certain of, for whoever attributes a lie to me, let him take his place in Hellfire. And whoever speaks about the Quran without knowledge, let him take his place in Hellfire."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”میری طرف منسوب کر کے کوئی بات بیان کرنے سے بچو، سوائے اس کے جس کا تمہیں یقین ہو، اس لئے کہ جو شخص میری طرف جھوٹی نسبت کر کے کوئی بات بیان کرے اسے چاہئے کہ جہنم میں اپنا ٹھکانہ بنا لے اور جو شخص قرآن کریم میں بغیر علم کے کوئی بات کہے تو اسے اپنا ٹھکانہ جہنم میں بنا لینا چاہیے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas Razi Allahu Anhuma se marvi hai ki Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Meri taraf mansoob kar ke koi baat bayan karne se bacho, siwaye is ke jis ka tumhein yaqeen ho, is liye ki jo shakhs meri taraf jhooti nisbat kar ke koi baat bayan kare use chahiye ki jahannam mein apna thikana bana le aur jo shakhs Quran Kareem mein baghair ilm ke koi baat kahe to use apna thikana jahannam mein bana lena chahiye.“
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" اتَّقُوا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِّي إِلَّا مَا عَلِمْتُمْ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا، فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ، وَمَنْ كَذَبَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ، فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارَ".
