The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3003
Our master Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, narrates: While there was still some night left in Muzdalifah, the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came to the weaker members of Banu Hashim, that is, the women and children, who were riding on their donkeys, and striking our thighs, he said: "My dear children! Set off, but do not stone the Jamaratul Aqabah before sunrise.”

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ مزدلفہ ہی میں - جبکہ رات کچھ باقی تھی - نبی ﷺ بنو ہاشم کے ہم کمزوروں یعنی عورتوں اور بچوں کی جماعت کے پاس آئے جو اپنے گدھوں پر سوار تھے اور ہماری رانوں پر ہاتھ مارتے ہوئے فرمانے لگے: ”پیارے بچو! تم روانہ ہوجاؤ، لیکن طلوع آفتاب سے پہلے جمرہ عقبہ کی رمی نہ کرنا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas Radi Allaho Anhuma farmate hain ki Muzdalifa hi mein - jabke raat kuchh baqi thi - Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam Banu Hashim ke hum kamzoron yani auraton aur bachchon ki jamaat ke pass aaye jo apne gadhon par sawar the aur hamari ranon par hath marte hue farmane lage: ”Pyare bachchon! Tum rawana hojao, lekin talu-e-aaftab se pehle Jamarat-ul-Aqaba ki rami na karna. “
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: مَرَّ بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ النَّحْرِ، وَعَلَيْنَا سَوَادٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَجَعَلَ يَضْرِبُ أَفْخَاذَنَا، وَيَقُولُ:" أَبَنِيَّ، أَفِيضُوا، وَلَا تَرْمُوا الْجَمْرَةَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ".
