The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3035
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Wear white clothes, for they are the best and shroud your dead in them. And the best Kohl that you use is Ithmid (Antimony); it clears the eyesight and makes the eyelashes grow."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”سفید کپڑے پہنا کرو کیونکہ یہ سب سے بہترین ہوتے ہیں اور ان ہی میں اپنے مردوں کو کفن دیا کرو، اور تمہارا بہترین سرمہ ”اثمد“ ہے جو بینائی کو تیز کرتا ہے اور پلکوں کے بال اگاتا ہے۔“
Saina Ibne Abbas raza Allaho anhoma se marvi hai keh Rasool Allah sallallaho alaihe wasallam ne irshad farmaya: "Sufaid kapray pehna karo kyunkeh yeh sab se behtarin hote hain aur in hi mein apne murdon ko kafan diya karo, aur tumhara behtarin surma "Ismad" hai jo beenai ko tez karta hai aur palkon ke baal ugata hai."
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمْ الْبِيضَ، فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ، وَإِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدَ، إِنَّهُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ".
