The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3047
Narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by a dead goat that his family had thrown away, so he said: "By the One in Whose grip of power is my soul! The value and worth of this world in the sight of Allah is less than that of this goat to its owners."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ کا گزر ایک مردار بکری پر ہوا جو آپ کے اہل خانہ نے پھینک دی تھی، تو فرمایا: ”اس ذات کی قسم جس کے قبضہ قدرت میں میری جان ہے! اللہ کے نزدیک دنیا کی قدر و قیمت اس بکری سے بھی کم ہے جو اس کے مالکوں کے نزدیک اس کی اہمیت ہو سکتی ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka guzar ek murdar bakri par hua jo aap ke ahl khana ne phenk di thi to farmaya is zaat ki qasam jis ke qabza qudrat mein meri jaan hai Allah ke nazdeek duniya ki qadr o qeemat is bakri se bhi kam hai jo is ke malikon ke nazdeek is ki ahmiyat ho sakti hai
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَاةٍ مَيْتَةٍ قَدْ أَلْقَاهَا أَهْلُهَا، فَقَالَ:" وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا".
