The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3093
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived in Makkah, he refrained from entering the Ka'bah due to the presence of idols inside. Upon his command, everything was removed from there, including the statues of Prophet Abraham and Prophet Ishmael (peace be upon them both), which had arrows of divination in their hands. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "May Allah's curse be upon them! They knew that these two (Prophets) never divided anything with these arrows." Then, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the Ka'bah, proclaimed the greatness of Allah in its corners, and came out. On this occasion, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not offer prayer inside the Ka'bah.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جب مکہ مکرمہ تشریف لائے تو بتوں کی موجودگی میں بیت اللہ کے اندر داخل ہونے سے احتراز فرمایا، نبی ﷺ کے حکم پر وہاں سے سب چیزیں نکال لی گئیں، ان میں حضرت ابراہیم و حضرت اسماعیل علیہما السلام کی مورتیاں بھی تھیں جن کے ہاتھوں میں پانسے کے تیر تھے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ کی مار ہو ان پر، یہ جانتے بھی تھے کہ ان دونوں حضرات نے کبھی ان تیروں سے کسی چیز کو تقسیم نہیں کیا“، پھر آپ ﷺ نے بیت اللہ میں داخل ہو کر اس کے کونوں میں اللہ کی کبریائی کا ترانہ بلند کیا اور باہر نکل آئے، اس موقع پر آپ ﷺ نے بیت اللہ میں نماز نہیں پڑھی۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab Makkah Mukarramah tashrif laaye to button ki mojoodgi mein Baitullah ke andar daakhil hone se ihtiraaz farmaya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hukam par wahan se sab cheezen nikal li gayin, in mein Hazrat Ibrahim o Hazrat Ismail Alaihissalam ki moortiyan bhi thin jin ke hathon mein panse ke teer the, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Allah ki maar ho in par, yeh jaante bhi the ki in donon hazrat ne kabhi in teeron se kisi cheez ko taqseem nahin kiya", phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Baitullah mein daakhil ho kar us ke kono mein Allah ki kibriyaai ka tarana buland kiya aur bahar nikal aaye, is mauqa par aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Baitullah mein namaz nahin parhi.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ، أَبَى أَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْبَيْتَ وَفِيهِ الْآلِهَةُ، فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَأُخْرِجَتْ، فَأَخْرَجَ صُورَةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَام، فِي أَيْدِيهِمَا الْأَزْلَامُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" قَاتَلَهُمْ اللَّهُ، أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَلِمُوا مَا اقْتَسَمَا بِهَا قَطُّ" قَالَ: ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ، فَكَبَّرَ فِي نَوَاحِي الْبَيْتِ، وَخَرَجَ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فِي الْبَيْتِ.
