The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3192
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet (ﷺ) sent us (young boys of Banu `Abdul-Muttalib) in the company of some elder boys of Banu `Abdul-Muttalib from Muzdalifa on our `Arafah mounts, and we set out before the Hajj pilgrims. He (the Prophet) patted us on our shoulders (one by one) and said, "O my little sons! Do not stone (at the Jamrat-al-'Aqabah) till the sun rises." Ibn `Abbas added, I do not think that a sane person would stone (at the Jamrat-al-'Aqabah) before the sun rises.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ہم بنو عبدالمطلب کے کچھ نوعمر لڑکوں کو مزدلفہ سے ہمارے اپنے گدھوں پر سوار کر کے پہلے ہی بھیج دیا تھا اور ہماری ٹانگوں پر ہاتھ مارتے ہوئے فرمایا تھا: ”پیارے بچو! طلوع آفتاب سے پہلے جمرہ عقبہ کی رمی نہ کرنا۔“ سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ اب میرا خیال نہیں ہے کہ کوئی عقلمند طلوع آفتاب سے پہلے رمی کرے گا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas raza Allahu anhuma se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hum banu Abd al-Muttalib ke kuchh naujavan ladkon ko Muzdalifah se hamare apne gadhon par sawar kar ke pahle hi bhej diya tha aur hamari tango par hath marte hue farmaya tha: ”Pyare bachchon! طلوع aftab se pahle Jamarah Aqabah ki rami na karna.“ Sayyidna Ibn Abbas raza Allahu anhuma farmate hain keh ab mera khayal nahin hai keh koi aqalmand طلوع aftab se pahle rami kare ga.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعُرَنِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَدَّمَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أُغَيْلِمَةَ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، عَلَى حُمُرَاتِنَا لَيْلَةَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ، فَجَعَلَ يَلْطَحُ أَفْخَاذَنَا، وَيَقُولُ:" أَبْيَنيَّ، لَا تَرْمُوا الْجَمْرَةَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ". قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: لَا إِخَالُ أَحَدًا يَرْمِي حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ.
