The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3221
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The example of a person who takes back his gift after giving it is that of a dog who vomits and then eats his vomit.”

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص ہدیہ دینے کے بعد واپس مانگتا ہے اس کی مثال اس کتے کی سی ہے جو قئی کر کے اسے دوبارہ چاٹ لے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Jo shakhs hadiya dene ke baad wapas mangta hai uski misal us kutte ki si hai jo qai kar ke use dobara chaat le."
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ وَأَبُو عَامِرٍ ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ، كَالْعَائِدِ فِي قَيْئِهِ".
