The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3225
Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) narrates that he witnessed the Eid prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and all of them used to offer the prayer before the sermon (without Adhan and Iqamah).

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ میں عید کے موقع پر نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ، سیدنا ابوبکر اور سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ موجود رہا ہوں، یہ سب حضرات خطبہ سے پہلے (بغیر اذان و قامت کے) نماز پڑھایا کرتے تھے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas razi Allah anhuma farmate hain ke main Eid ke mauqe par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath, Sayyidna Abu Bakr aur Sayyidna Umar razi Allah anhuma ke sath maujood raha hun, ye sab hazrat khutba se pehle (baghair azan o qamat ke) namaz parhaya karte the.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ الْعِيدَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا،" فَبَدَءُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ".
