The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3258
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) left for the conquest of Makkah in the month of Ramadan, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was fasting. But when he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reached a place called Kadid, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) broke his fast.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جب ماہ رمضان میں فتح مکہ کے لئے روانہ ہوئے تو آپ ﷺ روزے سے تھے، لیکن جب مقام کدید میں پہنچے تو آپ ﷺ نے روزہ توڑ دیا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab mah Ramadan mein Fath Makkah ke liye rawana huye to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) rozedar se the, lekin jab maqam Kadid mein pahunche to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne roza tod diya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ، فَصَامَ، حَتَّى بَلَغَ الْكَدِيدَ فَأَفْطَرَ".
