The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3343
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "A previously married woman has more right over herself [in terms of marriage] than her guardian. However, permission should be sought from a virgin woman [for marriage], and her silence is [considered] her permission.”

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”شوہر دیدہ عورت کو اس کے ولی کی نسبت اپنی ذات پر زیادہ اختیار حاصل ہے، البتہ کنواری عورت سے اس کی اجازت لی جائے گی اور اس کی خاموشی بھی اجازت ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: Shohar deeda aurat ko uske wali ki nisbat apni zaat par zyada ikhtiyar hasil hai, albatta kunwari aurat se uski ijazat li jayegi aur uski khamoshi bhi ijazat hai.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" الْأَيِّمُ أَوْلَى بِنَفْسِهَا مِنْ وَلِيِّهَا، وَالْبِكْرُ تُسْتَأْمَرُ فِي نَفْسِهَا، وَصَمْتُهَا إِقْرَارُهَا".
