The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3342
Narrated Ibn `Abbas (RA): The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Wear white clothes, for they are the purest and the best, and shroud your dead in them. And the best of your Kohl is Ithmid."
Grade: Sahih
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”سفید کپڑے پہنا کرو کیونکہ یہ سب سے بہترین ہوتے ہیں اور ان ہی میں اپنے مردوں کو کفن دیا کرو، اور تمہارا بہترین سرمہ اثمد ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Sufaid kapre pehna karo kyunki yeh sab se behtarin hote hain aur un hi mein apne murdon ko kafan diya karo, aur tumhara behtarin surma ithmid hai.”
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" خَيْرُ ثِيَابِكُمْ الْبَيَاضُ، فَالْبَسُوهَا أَحْيَاءً، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ، وَخَيْرُ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ".
